Our Heritage

Continental Research and Engineering (CR&E) was originally part of Maumee Research and Engineering, Inc. (MR&E). MR&E, whose primary industry was Iron & Steel / Coal Drying Processes, was an Ohio based company founded by Mr. Franklin Rinker in 1985. In April 1996, Mr. Alfred Webster joined MR&E to start up operations in Denver. The primary function of the Denver operations was to support the Chemical Weapons Demilitarization Industry worldwide by providing innovative methods for processing complex waste streams.

In May 2000 MR&E Denver operations and all its employees were acquired by Continental Research and Engineering. Although CR&E is a fairly young company, our principals average 36 plus years of experience, and our staff of professionals has 3 years to over 20 years of experience providing engineering, research, and operations support for various industrial sectors.
